Oregon Cannabis Market Update: June's Slowdown Follows Familiar Seasonal Trend
Oregon’s cannabis market softened slightly in June, with total sales declining just over 2% from May. While no one likes to see a decrease, this is consistent with recent seasonal trends. June has posted a single-digit decline in each of the last three years, and this year’s drop was smaller than we’ve seen during the second quarter in both 2024 and 2025.
Sales volume followed a similar pattern, declining by just 1%. Like sales, June volume has decreased in each of the past three years, and this year’s decline is almost identical to what we saw in 2024 and 2025. The consistency suggests a normal seasonal slowdown rather than a change in overall market demand.
Flower pricing eased slightly from $3.33 to $3.30 per gram, marking the first non-seasonal price movement since July 2025. Concentrate pricing remained steady at $15.00 per gram, continuing the stability we’ve seen in that category.
Overall, June doesn’t appear to signal any significant change in the market. Sales have essentially returned to where they began in January, offsetting the gains made during the first half of the year while remaining well within expected seasonal patterns.
Looking ahead, there’s good reason for optimism. July has delivered month-over-month sales growth in each of the past seven years, and we’re hopeful that trend continues as we head into the second half of 2026.
