Plastic For Pantries

On April 25th, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, we’re welcoming the community to our P3 Distributing warehouse in Milwaukie for a special Earth Day event focused on sustainability, education, and local impact.

Bring your hard-to-recycle #5 plastics for a free drop-off through our recycling program. In exchange, we encourage participants to make a food or monetary donation to the Sunshine Division , a nonprofit dedicated to providing food and emergency assistance to families across our region. Your participation helps transform plastic waste into meaningful community support.

We accept any clean and dry #5 plastic items, with no limit per person and no size restrictions on drop-offs. Whether you’re bringing a small bag from home or larger quantities from a business, every contribution makes a difference.

Throughout the day, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• Meet local businesses and sponsors who are helping drive sustainability in their industries
• Take guided facility tours to see how P3 collects, sorts, and prepares materials for recycling
• Learn practical ways to reduce waste at home and in your workplace
• Enjoy great food available for purchase on site from Smokin’ John’s BBQ

This event is designed to be welcoming, educational, and impactful for all ages. Whether you’re passionate about recycling, curious about how it works, or simply looking for a meaningful way to give back this Earth Day, we invite you to join us.

Together, we can keep valuable materials out of landfills while supporting families in need.

One Stop. Two Impacts. Stronger Community.
